Using the old stuff

I have to be honest.

I LOVE using the old stuff.

And the thing is, I’m not sure why.

I’ve definitely come to realize my style, and frankly, after doing a major purge (that seems to not really be ending), I realize how much I like the older stuff so much more than the new. Maybe it’s the familiarity of it, of using it when you first get it, putting it away when you’ve made some things with it and coming back to it a few months, or maybe even a few years afterward. Maybe it’s the fact that I no longer remember how much I paid for it (haha). Or, maybe, it’s just the comfort of knowing that if you love it now, you’ve loved it the entire time you’ve had it.

I don’t even remember the name of this My Mind’s Eye collection, but I think it might be from their Tres Jolie several years ago. I had these little bits left over, and I just wanted to use it before I lost them forever in the scrap paper pile. So, here goes ;-)

Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned paper, border stickers: My Mind’s Eye; Paper frills: Doodlebug Designs; Blue accents: Liquid Pearls; Border punch: Martha Stewart; Stamp: Hero Arts; Ink: Close to My Heart.

See you Friday!
