On buying embellishments–and loving them

I have this thing about not buying the embellishments that go with paper lines.

I don’t know about other cardmakers, but personally, I never use the whole package of chipboard/stickers/cute little bits that come in embellishment packages. If I’m lucky I can get myself to use two, maybe three pieces in an entire set, and that’s certainly not enough to justify the $5 or so each cost (and hey, I could put that toward my real love of patterned paper). But not so much with the embellishments from SEI’S Juliette line!

In fact, I’ve used all my favorite pieces from the chipboard set, and still have a bunch left to spare. And today, here are two cards to prove it!

Cardstock: Paper Source; Patterned paper, chipboard: SEI; Ribbon: American Crafts; Stamp: Hero Arts; Ink: VersaFine.

I wasn’t so sure about the placement of that sentiment, but it was the only place it would fit, and in the end, I liked it!

Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned paper, paper flower: SEI; Border punch: Fiskars; Rhinestone: Craft supply; Stamp: Hero Arts; Ink: VersaFine.

I love, love love that little flower die cut! It almost hurt me to use it (almost).

I think I’m sold on buying embellishments more often now :-)

See you Friday!
